The data submitted by survey participants will be protected by the SSL 256-bit cryptographic protocol resident in the Internet transport layer between the client browser and the host server. This protocol allows client/server applications to communicate across a network in a way designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, and message forgery. It involves endpoint authentication and communications confidentiality over the Internet using cryptography with a certificate hosted by a secure third party.

The data-sensitive aspects of snaSurvey.com are protected by password access and any data files that are transported over the Internet, including data backups, via zip files, are transported via the SSL transport service. The zip files that involve data backups will, optionally, be further secured using a password known only to the survey manager.

The data hosted on the site's server is protected by Linux operating system password protection and is assured to be secure from non-official persons. Clients optionally my elect to persist their survey response data, residing on the server, with a 256-bit encryption.
